Some moments define not just an individual, but the philosophy of an entire studio.
When Suhani Lal Sanghra, Principal Architect of Sparc Design, took the stage at TEDx The Knowledge Habitat, Pune Youth, it became a celebration of the ideas that have shaped Sparc since its inception: curiosity, discipline, empathy, and the belief that design is a lived experience.
Her talk, “Wired to Wonder,” was not just a personal milestone.
It was the articulation of what Sparc Design stands for.
THE ROOTS OF SPARC: IT ALL BEGINS WITH WONDER
Long before Sparc Design took shape, there was a child who looked at everyday objects and imagined something more.
An empty jar became a frog.
A shoebox became a home.
Discarded matchboxes, soap covers, toothbrushes, everything held possibility.
This instinct to wonder “What if?” is where the Sparc philosophy was born.In her TEDx talk, Suhani reflected on this childhood curiosity not as a memory, but as a mindset that continues to guide the studio’s work today.
At Sparc, design begins not with form, but with imagination and the courage to see potential where others see the ordinary.

FROM CURIOSITY TO CRAFT
At eleven, Suhani held her first exhibition of handmade creations, selling every piece and buying her first watch.
It was an early lesson in two things Sparc Design values deeply:
- creativity can emerge from anything, and
- ideas, when nurtured, can become meaningful outcomes.
That journey evolved through architectural education, professional practice across cities, and eventually the founding of Sparc Design, built from the ground up in a new city, with no shortcuts and no safety net.
The studio’s foundation was not glamour, but discipline.

UNLEARNING, RESETTING, AND GROWTH
One of the most powerful moments in the TEDx narrative was Suhani’s reflection on a difficult phase — a period of professional strain that demanded strength, self-belief, and recalibration.
This experience shaped Sparc Design in a profound way.
It reinforced a core studio value: unlearning.
Letting go of excess.
Rebuilding with clarity.
Designing from a place of honesty and intention.
Today, Sparc’s work reflects this evolution, architecture that breathes rather than imposes, interiors that invite rather than overwhelm.
CARRYING THE SPARC FORWARD
The TEDx stage marked another chapter in Sparc Design’s evolving journey. not an arrival, but a continuation.
We remain committed to:
- designs grounded in narrative
- spaces shaped with empathy
- architecture defined by intention
- and environments that feel as meaningful as they look
TEDx celebrated Suhani’s voice but more importantly, it illuminated the vision that fuels Sparc Design.
Because at Sparc, wonder is not child’s play.
Wonder is what turns struggle into strength.
Wonder is what makes the impossible possible.
And wonder is how we continue to build the future, one thoughtful space at a time.
